NEW SPEED RECORD BY GULFSTREAM G280

Super-mid-size private jet Gulfstream G280 has set a new speed record. Flight from Bangor (USA, state of Maine) to Olbia (Italy, Sardinia island) lasted 6 hours and 59 minutes. During all the years in operation Gulfstream G280 has set more than 70 speed records between pairs of cities. Previous record was set by the flight from Burlington (USA, state of Vermont) to London City airport. Flight lasted for 6 hours and 10 minutes at an average speed 0,83 Mach. To land at London City private jet must be certified for steep approach as well as meet strict noise limit level.

In June an anniversary 200 Gulfstream G280 was delivered to its new owner. Deliveries of G280 started in 2012.
